The People for Jobs Traineeship Programme (PJTP) was first launched as a pilot by the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) in Jun 2001 to provide an incentive in the form of a wage support, to employers to encourage them to create and make available suitable job opportunities for local workers who are in their 40s and above. STB News - Executive Appointments Mr Kevin Leong has been posted to STB's Sydney Regional Office as Area
Director Oceania, and is responsible for the entire operations and marketing
activities for Australia and New Zealand.
Mr Chui Seng Wah has been appointed as Area Director China, and is in
charge of STB's operations and marketing activities for China, Hong Kong,
Macau and Taiwan.
STB News - Review of Overseas Operations STB has reviewed its overseas operations as part of its plan to consolidate
and re-deploy resources to optimise growth potential.
STB has closed its offices in Zurich and Toronto as of 1 April and 31
March 2002 respectively. Zurich is now handled out of STB Frankfurt and
Toronto from STB Chicago. STB has also terminated the contract with its
marketing representative in Italy - Theodore Trancu & Associates s.a.s
- to consolidate activities out of STB Paris.
More resources are being ploughed into China and India, where STB is planning
a stronger presence through fully fledged offices or the appointment of
Marketing and Public Relations representatives.
